Gig management for working musicians

Managing Your Licence

Managing Your Licence

View your licence status, check credit usage, and manage your activation.

Viewing your licence status

Go to Gig Diary → Settings → Licence to see:

  • Your current licence tier and whether it’s active
  • Your update entitlement expiry date
  • Credit usage — how many credits have been used and how many remain (Agency licences)
  • The domain this licence is activated on

Lost your licence key?

Check your original purchase confirmation email from support@purebaltic.co.uk — your licence key and a download link are included. If you can’t find the email, check your spam folder.

If you still can’t locate it, contact support@purebaltic.co.uk with your purchase email address and we’ll resend your key.

Upgrading your licence

To upgrade from Starter to Pro, Pro to Studio, or any plan to an Agency plan, purchase the new plan from the pricing page. You’ll receive a new licence key by email.

  1. Deactivate your current licence — go to Gig Diary → Settings → Licence and click Deactivate this machine
  2. Enter your new licence key in the Licence Key field
  3. Click Activate

All your existing gigs, venues, songs, and setlists are unaffected by an upgrade.

Deactivating your licence

If you need to move to a new server, reinstall WordPress, or transfer your licence to a different site, deactivate first:

  1. Go to Gig Diary → Settings → Licence
  2. Click Deactivate this machine
  3. Confirm the deactivation

This frees up the credit so you can activate on a new server. Your licence key remains valid — you can reactivate it whenever you’re ready.

Deactivate before reinstalling If you’re reinstalling WordPress or migrating to a new server, always deactivate your licence first. If you reinstall without deactivating, the credit may remain consumed and you’ll need to contact support to release it.

Plugin updates

With an active licence, PB Gig Diary appears in the WordPress updates system. You can enable auto-updates from the Plugins page — find PB Gig Diary and click Enable auto-updates.

Updates are included free for 12 months from your purchase date. Your update entitlement expiry date is shown on the Licence tab. After expiry the plugin continues to work — only new updates require renewal. See Renewing updates for details.

Troubleshooting

Licence shows as inactive after a WordPress update

This occasionally happens if the licence transient is cleared during a WordPress update. Go to Gig Diary → Settings → Licence — the licence should revalidate automatically when the page loads. If not, click Revalidate licence.

Features have disappeared after deactivation

This is expected — premium features require an active licence. Reactivate your licence to restore access. Your data (gigs, songs, setlists) is never deleted when a licence is deactivated.
