Renewing & Updates
Your plugin keeps working after your update period expires — renewal is optional and gives you access to new features and improvements.
How update entitlement works
Every PB Gig Diary licence includes 12 months of free updates from the date of purchase. During this period you’ll receive all new features, improvements, and security updates automatically via the WordPress update system.
After 12 months your update entitlement expires. The plugin continues to work exactly as before — your gigs, setlists, songs, and Google Calendar sync all keep running. The only thing that stops is access to new updates.
What happens when entitlement expires
| Feature | After expiry |
|---|---|
| All existing features | ✓ Continue to work as normal |
| Your gig data | ✓ Unchanged — nothing is deleted |
| Google Calendar sync | ✓ Continues working |
| Public gig listings | ✓ Continue to display |
| Licence activation | ✓ Remains active |
| Plugin updates | ✗ No longer available until renewed |
| New features | ✗ Not accessible until renewed |

Is renewal worth it?
That’s entirely up to you. If PB Gig Diary is doing everything you need and you’re happy with the current version, there’s no pressure to renew. The plugin will keep working indefinitely.
Renewal makes sense if you want to stay on the latest version, benefit from new features as they’re added, or ensure compatibility with future WordPress versions.
